FUNDAMENTALS OF BMCC'S OPTION
This 17 week, 276-hour intense program provides a well-rounded course in Paralegal Studies for those seeking entry-level positions as well as those with experience. The program is designed to provide a broad overview of substantive and procedural law as it prepares students to manage practical skills necessary for today’s paralegal.
TOPICS OF STUDY
Contracts, Torts, Criminal, NY Civil Practice, Real Property, Corporation, Legal Research & Writing (Westlaw/LEXIS/NEXIS); Corporation, Immigration Obtaining evidence through the discovery process, tracking & entering billable time.
- Incorporating job search planning and preparation training.
CLASS INFORMATION
Meets: Tue & Thurs 6pm – 9pm and Saturdays 9am-5pm
Cost: $2800/34 Sessions
Applicants must meet the minimum requirement to apply for the program.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher - 0-1 year work experience
- Must pass TABE (Reading) Test - Must be at least 18 years old
- Basic knowledge of Computers
